A rash can be very uncomfortable because it is irritating the skin. Rashes can be a red patch of skin that are itchy or painful. Some rashes can be scaly and irritated. You can try to apply an ointment like aloe vera gel or olive oil on the rash. If the rash is caused by dry skin the moisture in the ointment may help heal the rash. Vitamin E and cod liver oil are also good moisturizers that will help heal a rash caused by dry skin.

Some types of rashes may benefit from a wash with chamomile tea. Make some chamomile tea and let it cool. Then take the chamomile tea and pour it gently over the rash. If time allows let the rash air dry.

An oatmeal bath can relieve the itch of a rash especially very large rash like the kind you get from chicken pox. Chicken pox is very itchy and they cover the entire body. Draw a warm bath a put some oatmeal into the water. Swish the oatmeal around in the water and they get in the oatmeal bath. Soak until the water gets cool and then get out of the bath. You can take an oatmeal bath a few times a day for comfort from a rash.
